Early Voting By Mail

The deadline to request an absentee ballot for early voting by mail is Friday, September 1.

Voted absentee ballots must be returned to the Election Committee by Thursday, September 14.

COVID-19 Economic Relief

COVID-19 Impact Assistance is available to adult citizens with funding made possible through the American Rescue Plan Act. The tribe will begin processing payments in October 2023. Application deadline: July 1, 2024.

Shawnee Tribe Behavioral & Mental Health invites you to join an upcoming support group centered around the book The Body Keeps the Score by Dr. Bessel van der Kolk. The group is limited to 15 participants & will meet every two weeks at the Shawnee Tribe Community Building in Miami. Meetings begin Thursday, September 7.

Workforce Reimbursement Program

Through the new Workforce Reimbursement Program, the tribe will reimburse eligible expenses incurred in the pursuit of workforce entry or reentry, career changes, and other costs associated with maintaining employment. Citizens must be age 16 or older.

General Council & Elections Weekend is September 15-16. The offices of Chief, Business Council Seat 1 and Business Council Seat 2 are up for election. Additionally, a special question from the Ad Hoc Salary Committee will be on the ballot.
